Starting January 1, 2025, under the new 2025 Budget Law, all companies based in Italy — including permanent establishments of non-resident companies — will be required to purchase insurance coverage for material damage caused by natural catastrophic events such as:

Deadlines based on company size (EU Directive 2023/2775):
Large enterprises: by March 31, 2025
Medium-sized enterprises: by October 1, 2025
Small and micro enterprises: by December 31, 2025
